Janet Marcavage has created screenprinted cut-out flowers, a temporary public art project for Tollefson Plaza in downtown Tacoma, as part of Spaceworks Tacoma. The printed cut-outs are hung in the Plaza at 17th and Pacific Ave., across from the Tacoma Art Museum through Sept. 15th.

Marcavage's prints can be viewed in the exhibition, The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation Art Award, 2008-2010, now through October 2, 2010, at Kittredge Gallery, University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA. Works by nominees of the Art Award from the past three years are included in the exhibition. There is an opening reception on Thurs., Sept. 2nd from 5-7PM.

Janet Marcavage curated the print portfolio, Patterned Remarks, which was recently exhibited during the 2010 Southern Graphics Council Conference at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. The portfolio is currently on exhibit in Dreams, Patterns, Tests at Gallery 2 at Washington State University. Patterned Remarks will also be exhibited at The Kittredge Gallery at The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA in March 2011.

Janet Marcavage has two prints included in the 5th Bienal Internacional de Gravura do Douro 2010, curated by Nuno Canelas in Alijó, Portugal which runs from August 10th through September 30th, 2010.

A solo exhibition of new works by Janet Marcavage will take place at the Gallery at Pacific Lutheran University from Oct. 13th - Nov. 10th, 2010. There is a Gallery Reception on Wed., Oct 13th from 5-7PM.
